10. International Finance Center, Hong Kong (406.9 m):

International Finance Center, Hong KongThe international finance center is a 406.9 meter (1,335 ft) tall tower situated at Hong Kong city. It’s construction was started way back in 1997, and opened for public in the year of 2003. It has total 88 floors with an effective floor area of 185,805 sq m(1,999,988 sq ft). It’s the 10th tallest building in the world.

One World Trade Center also known as 1 WTC, 1 World Trade Center, and Freedom tower is situated at lower Manhattan of New York city.  This is situated at the same plot of former World Trade center which were demolished in the 9/11 attack. This building is 104-story tall with an effective height of 417 m. Construction of One World Trade center has been finished on August 30, 2012, and it’s expected to open this skyscraper on late 2013 for Office, observation, communication purposes. The estimated cost for this building is US$3.9 billion (2012).

8. Guangzhou International Finance Center, Guangdong, (432m)

Guangzhou International Finance CenterThe Guangzhou International Finance Center is the eighth tallest building in the world with a whooping height of 432m (1,417 ft). It has 103 floors used for hotel and commercial purposes. Guangzhou International Finance Center  is situated at 5 Zhujiang Avenue, West Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It’s construction was completed at 2010.

7.  KK100, Shenzhen (442 m)

KK100, ShenzhenKK100 is a 100 floor tall super skyscraper situated at Shenzhen, China. It’s top most floor is located 442 m (1,449 ft) above the ground level. It’s a commercial building commonly used for Office space and Hotel. KK100 is the tallest building in Shenzhen and 7th tallest building in the world. KK100 is also known as Kingkey Finance Center Plaza and Kingkey 100.

6. Willis Tower, Chicago (442.0 m)

Wills tower is commonly known as  Sears Tower. Wills tower hold the first place of tallest building for almost two decades. The wills tower is commonly used for office space.

Taipei 101, TaipeiAs the name suggests Taipei 101 is a 101 story building with an effective height of 449.2m(1,471 ft). Taipei 101 hold the spot for Tallest building in the world from the year 2004 until 2010. Taipei government spent around US$1.8 billion to build this massive structure.

International Commerce Centre, Hong KongThe ICC tower or International Commerce Centre tower is a 484.0 m high,  118 story commercial building. ICC Tower holds the 4th tallest building in the world since it’s completion from 2010. Construction of ICC tower was started in 2002 and it took 8 years to complete the construction.

3. Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai (487.4 m)

Shanghai World Financial Center, ShanghaiShanghai World Financial Center is currently the tallest building in Shanghai, and 3rd tallest building in the world. It is a 101-story multipurpose (being used for Office, hotel, retail, museum, observation, parking garage) super skyscraper with a height of 487.4 m (1,599 ft). The construction of Shanghai World Financial Center was started in 1996 and the building is opened on 28 August 2008.

Abraj Al Bait is situated at the holy city of Mecca, KSA. This is a Clock tower cum Skyscraper having world’s largest tower clock. It’s 120 floors are used for both residential and hotel purposes.

Burj Khalifa is 298m higher than it’s Presider and currently the highest building in the world since it’s opening on 2010. Burj Khalifa contains a whooping 163 floors which are mainly used for Office, hotel and residential purposes.

China dominates the world in terms of tallest skyscrapers. China has 5 skyscrapers among  Top 10 Tallest buildings in the world.
